Security Mediation (Government/Healthcare) Case Study

Profiles a large government agency that faced escalating performance and security requirements for its distributed health care application. The solution had to scale their current infrastructure 3x to handle secure synchronization of patient demographic information from a centralized database to over 100 regional hospitals. The agency implemented a Service Router architecture using Intel SOA Expressway that was able to process 160,000 XML messages per day and enable the solution to migrate from custom message level security to standards based WS-Security.
